I had a great chat with Alexandra Joy (AJ) recently on the 10 Degree Shift podcast about the small shifts I have made in my life!
I’m a naturally positive person, someone who likes to find a silver lining in every situation. I’m a big believer in doing things that make me feel good because when I feel good, I find things go more smoothly and I can handle challenges better.
I've always been a person who felt like no matter what cards I'm dealt, there must be a way to make them a little better, to learn a lesson from them, or to use them in a way that helps somehow.
But life isn’t always smooth and I’ve had hurdles and hiccups along the way, especially when I first became a mother and my whole identity at work and in life changed.
I struggled with work-life balance and that was part of the reason I left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur, Then I had to find a way to balance my business with my life and role as a mum, and that was what led me towards finding simpler ways to do things at work and in life!
In this podcast with AJ, I share how self-care has been life-changing for me, even in the little things. Turning everyday activities into soothing rituals, spending more time outside relaxing, and making changes to my diet that had a really positive impact on my health and wellbeing.
Feeling good is the key for me. Find a way to feel better and anything that is a challenge becomes a little easier.
AJ and I are both big fans of finding ways to make work and life feel better and flow smoothly, of surrounding ourselves with things that help us feel good, spending time with people who inspire us, and stacking good habits, adding small, incremental changes over time that all add up for an amazing outcome.
